Rik has worked with thousands of students over the last 18 years, and he has learned the one thing everyone needs most of all, is a safe place to get it wrong. This is as true for the professional musicians and actors that he works with as much as it is for students.

If students don’t feel safe, they’re not going to be open to trying new ideas and experiences. In fact, they’re going to shut down and try to protect themselves. As their teacher we know this is frustrating, because you know they have more potential than they’ve ever given themselves credit for.  This type of experience can change a student’s life and create an encouraging and supportive classroom.
