Good afternoon Upper Pine Families,
I want to begin by first saying that my thoughts are with all our Upper Pine Families and the surrounding communities that continue to be affected by the wildfires. You are all in my thoughts and I hope that we can get back to our normal daily routine soon.
The District Leadership Team decided that Upper Pine School will remain closed on Tuesday, May 23rd. The team will reconvene Tuesday morning to reevaluate and I will communicate the team’s decision for the remainder of the week (May 24-May 26).
Our teachers have emailed their students’ families and provided them with a variety of learning resources. These learning resources are not meant to add stress or worries! These resources are there for students who have the time and opportunity to learn. Families who are displaced and had to leave their homes or who are still on an emergency alert are NOT expected to worry about these emails. The learning is optional.
Traditionally we always get rain or snow on May long weekend and fingers crossed that we do!
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email me at pvasarhelyi@prn.bc.ca or contact your child’s teacher via email as well.
Take care and please say hi to the children!
Sincerely,
Ms. Palma
