Weekly update April 28 – May 2

Good Afternoon Upper Pine Families,

 

Badminton

Badminton practices next week are as follows:

Grades 4-6 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 12:00-12:45 pm

Grades 7/8 Friday from 12:00-12:45 pm

 

2025 District Badminton Tournament

Your child was given a permission form with additional information last week. Please check in with your child to make sure that the permission form has been returned to the office.

The tournament is scheduled for May 1st and 2nd.

On Thursday, May 1st, the singles tournaments will be held: the girls’ matches will take place at MMMCS starting at 3:30 PM, while the boys’ matches will be held at NPSS, also starting at 3:30 PM.

 

On Friday, May 2nd, the doubles and mixed doubles tournaments will occur throughout the day at NPSS.

Kindergarten registration is open!

April 30th – KBAM, Agent for Presto SMART ART presentation

May 1st –Boys’ Singles Badminton Tournament at NPSS starting at 3:30 pm

May 1st – Girls’ Singles Badminton Tournament at MMMCS starting at 3:30 pm

May 2nd– Boys and Girls’ mixed and doubles tournament at NPSS from 8:30 am, all day

May 5th -PAC meeting in the library at 3:00 pm

May 5th – Flower Basket Fundraiser (Flyer attached). Orders closes

May 6th – Soccer Tournament in place of Broomball in Prespatou – more information to come

May 8th – Explore Fest Grade at the Pomeroy Centre only for grade 5’s

May 9 – Indigenous Learning Day / Non- Non-Instructional Day

May 12- 16th – Spring Book Fair

May 14th– Upper Pine School Speech Contest

May 15th – Upper Pine School Track and Field Event (May 20, alternative date)

May 19th – Victoria Day – No School

May 21st – District Speech Contest @ARYES

May 22nd – Doig Days for the grade 4 students

May 23rd – Welcome to Kindergarten Event – More information to come

May 30th – Mr. Dale’s/Mr. Smith’s/Mr. Neufeld’s classes are attending the Dr. Kearney Musical, “Singing In the Rain”

June 6th – District Track & Field

June 26th – Last Day for Students
